Hi, I'm Shana

I’ve been in immersed in church leadership for three decades and have a passion for supporting and encouraging leaders. I’ve been ordained and called to conference and denominational ministry roles where I’ve mentored and equipped many leaders. In fact, if you're here, there's a good chance we've already met--and I'd love to hear from you!

In recent years, I’ve trained as a coach and have coached both individuals and groups. During the 2020 pandemic, coaching was the perfect way to accompany leaders through entirely uncharted territory. Now, it often feels right to ask spiritual direction questions as I coach, especially with church leaders.

My experiences as a leader give me an understanding of leadership challenges, but when I am coaching, my role is to respect your knowledge, believe in your abilities--and encourage you to do the same.

One thing I’ve learned along the way: Every single leader and leadership context is unique, and there are no one-size-fits all solutions. Through coaching, you can get better at applying the understanding you already have to the challenges your unique situation presents.

As your coach, I will listen to your hopes and aspirations, respect your wisdom, and amplify your expertise. I will ask you questions that will enable you to articulate your goals, discern the next wise step, and take action to realize your hopes.

Go ahead--schedule a quick half-hour with me to see if my coaching would be a good fit for you and your aspirations! I will look forward to chatting with you!

We believe that the people we are coaching already possess the deep inner wisdom needed to create options, make decisions, and devise outstanding plans, so our job becomes helping them excavate that gold by listening deeply, staying curious, exploring alternatives, and asking good questions.
